The CANCER REALITY in CUBA, Using Cuba's Own Official Data

In this article
Let us begin with the painful Cuban reality exposed by Havana Times writer Erasmo Calzadilla. "Cancer is a worldwide problem, but Cuba is among the most affected countries. We have Latin America's second-highest cancer mortality rate, with 100.000 people accounting for 143 deaths annually."
Written in 2015, this article exposes the distressing Cuban cancer reality. Besides an aging population, Cuba's people will have no chance to escape increasing cancer danger with alcohol, smoking, poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle tendency. Furthermore, we believe the nonsense that they have defeated cancer with a vaccine will harm their own country most… Let us turn to Cuba's own published cancer figures:
Cuban cancer statistics
According to Erasmo Calzadilla, “When cancer became Cuba's leading cause of death in 2012, the Cuban Government, supported by its monopolized media and professional organizations, tried to portray cancer problems differently from reality.” The same writer continues with these comments on cancer statistics published by Cuba's Health Ministry in 2014:
The main lies or distorted facts expressed by Cuban media about cancer problems were:
1. Distorted fact
Cancer is increasing because other diseases have declined significantly thanks to the health ministry's efforts.
The truth: This was true in the early years of the Cuban Revolution, but today none of the causes of death is declining. As the graph below shows, all are increasing, but cancer rates are rising much faster.

2. Distorted fact
The rapid aging of Cuban society.
The truth: Increasing average lifespan is undoubtedly the main reason cancer numbers rise worldwide, not only in Cuba. However, to understand that cancer in Cuba is not solely an elderly problem, it is enough to note that it is the leading cause of death at ages 1 - 4; 15-49; 50-69; and 70-79. It falls to second place at ages 5-14 and above 80. The media and government ignore these facts. Furthermore, life expectancy at birth has stopped increasing in Cuba.
3. Distorted fact
Biotechnology products (primarily Cuban cancer vaccines) are needed to defeat cancer.
The truth: The most important pillar of fighting cancer is healthy living habits to prevent cancer before it arises, and developing early diagnosis. Developing biotechnology drugs is of course important, and some positive results are real. However, as the statistics above show, these products remain quite weak at treating or controlling cancer. The Cuban cancer vaccineclaimed to treat lung cancer is distributed free to the population, yet lung cancer remains Cuba's 1. cause of cancer death.
Another popular alternative cancer treatment product associated with Cuba is Vidatox , marketed as blue scorpion venom. Although even Cuba's Health Ministry does not approve scorpion venom formulations, diluted forms are marketed as alternative products. Of course, this product benefits nobody except peddlers of false hope.
Calzadilla also states that the government and media implicitly blame the public for increasing cancer rates, targeting their bad habits (such as smoking, alcohol, obesity, poor diet and unprotected sex), almost accusing society itself.
In his conclusion, Calzadilla says, “Officials from Cuba's government and health ministry actually follow the same path. They cooperate in evading responsibility for rising cancer rates. If the media somehow need to lie, where exactly should we look for the problem? Should we blame sunlight, industrial progress accompanied by cancer-causing chemicals, the aging population and Cubans having unprotected sex for the rise in cancer?” and adds: “Furthermore, their worldviews and elitist perspectives encourage the development of advanced, expensive biotechnology products. But this also leads them to overlook cancer prevention measures.”
Conclusion
Spread worldwide by commercial healthcare intermediaries, Cuba has succeeded in treating cancer, There is no cancer left in Cuba and similarly sensational statements will harm Cuba most, a country overlooking the reality that prevention and early diagnosis are the most important cancer-fighting strategies The Cuban people urgently need help. Someone must wake them from this dream and tell them to come to their senses! They should be told, "Healthcare traders, greedy and blinded by appetite, are not merely deceiving the world; they harm you most." Cuba's longstanding innocence and the world's sympathy for Cuba and its people should not be sacrificed to exaggerated, untrue claims such as "Cancer Vaccine" and "Cuba has succeeded in treating cancer".
