Our 2025 Scientific Publications Overview – Advancing the Frontiers of Science
In the world of medicine, there is no such thing as "standing still"; diseases evolve, change, and adapt. Our duty as physicians is not only to apply existing knowledge but also to generate new knowledge.
2025 has been a year of peak academic productivity for our team. From real-world data on prognostic tests in breast cancer to deciphering the genetic codes of HPV-driven cancers; from AI-assisted analyses in rectal cancer to pushing the frontiers of liquid biopsy, we have contributed to science across a broad spectrum. These works are not merely academic texts; each is a step forward in offering better, more personalized, and effective treatments to our patients.

Academic Leadership: Special Issue Editorships
To steer the direction of scientific communication and shape global discussions in oncology, we undertook "Guest Editor" roles in high-impact international journals. In 2025, we managed three major dossiers in both viral oncology and precision medicine.
A special issue addressing the role of the HPV family (over 100 types) in carcinogenesis, molecular mechanisms, diagnostic tools, and novel vaccine strategies on a global scale. This dossier enriched the literature with 12 comprehensive articles.
A comprehensive clinical dossier examining molecular foundations, biomarkers, and immunotherapy potentials of major infectious agents causing cancer, including not only HPV but also EBV, Hepatitis B/C, KSHV, HTLV-1, and H. pylori.
A research topic shaping the future of "personalized cancer treatment" by combining patient-derived organoids, multi-omics profiling, and liquid biopsy technologies to address tumor heterogeneity and drug resistance.
Published Books
Papillomavirus-Induced Oncogenesis: Current Insights
Publisher: MDPI, 2025
An international reference work covering molecular foundations and current treatment strategies of HPV-related cancers on a global scale.
The Book of Hereditary Cancers (Kalıtsal Kanserler Kitabı)
Scope: National
The first national reference work in Turkey addressing hereditary cancer syndromes with an interdisciplinary approach.
Innovation: From Theory to Practice
We are in the field with two ventures combining technology and medicine to transform academic knowledge into bedside benefits: CheckTheLife and CRISERNA.

Knowledge Multiplies as It Is Shared, Deepens as It Is Produced.
This list is not merely an inventory of a single year; it is a reflection of our determination in the fight against cancer. Knowing that every piece of knowledge we produced in 2025 across this broad spectrum—from laboratory to clinic, from editor's desk to entrepreneurial ecosystem—will one day touch a patient's life is our greatest motivation.
I would like to thank all my team members, assistants, and scientific partners who contributed to our work. We will continue working for more in 2026.
